Dissolves Easily
Milk or Juice
DEN Plain Powder is not meant to be a stand-alone product, so the taste experience is defined primarily by the beverage it is dissolved in.
DIRECTIONS:
Blend at least a cup of one of the following liquids with one scoop of Daily Essential Nutrients powder, three times per day.
TASTES BEST IN:
Orange juice, pineapple juice, strawberry-kiwi juice, grape juice, strawberry-banana smoothie, very berry smoothie, original soy milk, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, or organic coffee creamer.
DOESN’T MIX WELL IN:
Dairy milk, water, apple juice, sweetened vanilla soymilk.
NOTE:
Dissolving in hot beverages (e.g. tea, coffee, hot chocolate) as well as adding to recipes for cooking may accelerate degradation and diminish the potency of several of the vitamins and is not recommended.
No-bake Favorites
Chocolate No-bake Macaroons
Because these are no-bake (and have no heat response), they are very flexible and versatile.
DIRECTIONS:
Blend in a food processor. If it is too dry, you can add more nut butter, more honey, or some real maple syrup. If too wet, add more coconut. Because these are no-bake (and have no heat response), they are very flexible and versatile. You can put anything in them as long as you balance your wet and dry ingredients (and portion your DEN to the size of your batch, so you know how much powder winds up per ball).
NOTE:
Quick mixes
Pudding
DEN Plain Powder is not meant to be a stand-alone product, so the taste experience is defined primarily by the mix it is dissolved in.
DIRECTIONS:
Blend made instant pudding with one scoop of Daily Essential Nutrients powder, three times per day.
NOTE:
Dissolving in hot liquids (e.g. instant gelatin mix) as well as adding to recipes for cooking may accelerate degradation and diminish the potency of several of the vitamins and is not recommended.

-1 banana
If you prefer unsweetened (unflavored) milk, add 1-2 T of cocoa powder or unsweetened chocolate syrup and 1-2 T organic sweetener.

Enjoy these delicious and nutritious DEN gummies as a tasty way to get your Daily Essential Nutrients!
DIRECTIONS:
- In a small saucepan, heat the cranberry juice over medium heat until it starts to simmer. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

- Sprinkle the Knox gelatin evenly over the warm cranberry juice and let it sit for 1-2 minutes to bloom.
- After the gelatin has bloomed, return the saucepan to the stove and heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until the gelatin is fully dissolved. Be careful not to let it boil.
- Once the gelatin is dissolved, remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
- While the cranberry juice and gelatin mixture is still tepid, slowly pour in the orange juice and DEN mixture, stirring constantly until well combined.
- Pour the combined mixture into silicone gummy molds or an 8×8-inch pan lined with parchment paper.
- Place the molds or pan in the refrigerator and let the gummies set for at least 2-3 hours, or until firm.
- Once set, remove the gummies from the molds or cut them into squares if using a pan.

How To
Need Help Swallowing Capsules?
This incredibly helpful video shows how Dr. Bonnie Kaplan of University of Calgary has been successful in teaching children (and adults) how to swallow capsules.
Daily Essential Nutrients is available in both powder and capsule forms.
This training video focuses on swallowing capsules or pills and was developed by Professor Bonnie Kaplan, in conjunction with the University of Calgary and the Alberta Children’s Hospital Research Institute.
Over the last five years Dr. Bonnie Kaplan and her students have developed and tested a new method for teaching pill swallowing.
Many parents know that taking capsules or pills can be a real nightmare for some children. Even many adults have trouble swallowing medication. Difficulty in swallowing capsules or tablets can have huge implications for a child’s health and for a family stress level, especially in families already challenged by life-threatening illnesses. The added problem of getting the life-saving treatment into their child represents an enormous emotional burden.
